These terms govern your use of the PlantMedic mobile app and website (together, "the Service"), operated by Ignistech ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

PlantMedic is an AI-powered plant diagnosis and care platform. It uses artificial intelligence to analyse photographs of plants and provide information about species identification, potential health issues, and care guidance.

The Service is available in two tiers:

• Free — AI diagnosis, plant identification, and basic rescue plans. No account required for basic web diagnosis (limited to 3 diagnoses per hour).
• Pro — recovery tracking, propagation guides, and smart reminders. Requires an account.

2. Important disclaimer — not professional advice

PlantMedic diagnoses are AI-generated and provided for informational purposes only. They are not a substitute for advice from a qualified horticulturalist, botanist, or plant specialist. We make no guarantee that any diagnosis is accurate, complete, or suitable for your specific plant or situation. Always use your own judgement and seek professional advice where needed.

In particular, do not rely solely on PlantMedic for decisions that could affect food crops intended for consumption, or plants in commercial or agricultural settings.

3. Your account

You must be 13 or older to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at Ignistech999@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service by automated means.
• Upload images that are not plant photographs, or that contain illegal, harmful, or offensive content.
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits or access controls.
• Use the Service to build a competing product without our prior written consent.

5. Intellectual property

All content, design, code, and branding in the Service is owned by Ignistech or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our written permission.

You retain ownership of any photographs you upload. By uploading a photo, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process it through our AI service solely to provide you with a diagnosis. We do not store your photos (see our Privacy Policy).

6. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when these terms were last revised.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ignistech shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to plant damage or loss arising from following AI-generated advice.

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or £10 if you have not paid us anything).

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
